Theme Setup: Exporting & Importing Divi

We use Divi theme for most of our sites. It is easy to build and manage and most important to us it is very easy for clients to manage with minimal time to trail! Step 1: Go to Divi > Theme Options. Click Imports & Exports button.

Step 2: Go to Divi > Theme Builder. (If empty, ignore this step) Click Portability button.

Step 3: Go to Divi > Theme Customizer. Click Import & Export button.

Step 4: Go to Divi > Divi Library. Click Import & Export button.

You guessed it, Export file.

Step 5: Go to new site location. Click on the same series of sections and use import instead. Be sure you use the correct corresponding .json files.

Theme Setup: Importing Theme

Step 1: Go to Network Admin site dashboard. Click on Themes > Add New.

Step 2: Click on Upload Theme. Click Choose File. Select Theme zip file. Click Install Now.

Step 3: Go to Themes > Installed Themes. On the new installed theme, click Network Enable.

Step 4: Go to new location for site. Log in and go to Appearance > Themes and activate the theme. Typically it will be Divi. In this example it is a Divi Child Theme called JSV Custom. When in doubt, Divi.

Theme Setup: Exporting Theme

Step 1: Install and Export Themes.

Step 2: Activate Export Themes on the new site.

The plugin might give an error like above.  Ignore for now.

Step 3: Go to Appearance > Themes.  Check which theme is currently active.  Note the name of it.

Step 4: Go to Appearance  > Export.  Find the name of the theme and select it.  Click export button.

It will download a file.
